Hey everyone!

We’ve been hard at work making some major updates to the game, and we truly believe they’ll help push Prosperon in an even better direction.

One thing about the Prosper system is that we call it a modular system. Take the parts you want, or add your own mechanics to it. The game can be played completely rules-lite using just the basic rules for combat and movement, but we also wanted to bring in some complexity for those of you who like a little crunch. We make that clear in the core rulebook—and we remind you of it periodically throughout the book.

We got the idea from Index Card RPG, which heavily inspired us to write the book—along with the Freeform Universal System.

One of the big additions we’re excited to share: a full system for hand-to-hand combat damage is being introduced—alongside a suite of unique martial arts techniques designed specifically for Prosperon. You won’t find familiar names like karate or jiu-jitsu here. Instead, these fighting styles are rooted in the world’s lore, each carrying its own tactical flavor and in-game perks.

We’re aiming to start rolling these new mechanics out over the next few days—possibly as soon as tomorrow. As of now, we’ve got five distinct combat styles ready to go, and we can’t wait to show them off. We hope you enjoy them as much as we’ve enjoyed creating them.
